Darren formed db architects in 2004 having spent four years previously as a director at Alan Camp Architects. He has worked on a wide variety of projects from hotels for Travelodge and Premier Inn to high end residential schemes in Westminster and Lambeth.

Darren has a keen interest in environmental issues as well as a wide experience of working on listed buildings and social housing.

Stuart is a Director and joined db architects in 2012 and led the £10m, mixed use Albion Road project for Skillcrown Homes.

Stuart has a wide experience in working drawings and previously worked for HLM on both residential and commercial projects.

Rebecca Pallett

Rebecca is an Associate Director and joined us in 2012. She has worked on a number of residential schemes including the high value apartments at Arlington Street and Cedars Mews, as well as the Brixton Hill and Albion Road projects.

Previously, she spent over 7 years at CPMG Architects in Nottingham, working as a project architect on a variety of commercial, education and museum projects as well as design competitions. She has a keen interest in conservation and heritage projects.

Daniel Griffin

Daniel Griffin joined db architects in 2016 as a project architect to work on a number of mixed commercial and residential schemes in Brixton, London. Daniel qualified in 2011 at The University of Nottingham, during and after which he worked for BJT Architects for 6 years and CPMG Architects for 2 years on a mix of residential, commercial and aviation projects.

Daniel seeks to achieve simple, clean designs that respond well to both brief and context, and maintain a high quality of finish and detailing through the working drawing and construction stages of projects. He has an interest in renovation work having renovated and extended two properties of his own, and also has experience in working with Listed Buildings.

Giovanni joined db architects in 2017.

He has a background of 12 years in architecture having worked in Italy and UK, becoming Chartered Architect in both countries.

He has got experience in high residential projects having previously worked at James Lambert Architects in London.

Giovanni is interested in contemporary and modern architecture and how it can fulfil the requirements of different lifestyles.

Mateusz Brzozowski

Mateusz is an Architectural Assistant and has experience in new-build housing developments, redevelopment of residential units and refurbishments of homes to achieve Decent Homes Plus standard.

Mateusz has a particular interest in modern architecture, sustainable design and fine arts. He speaks fluent Polish, English and Spanish.

Michael joined the team in 2014 after graduating with a Masters in Architecture from Queen's University Belfast. With experience in residential and commercial schemes, he is currently involved in a variety of projects while working towards his RIBA Part III qualification.

Having a specific interest in photography and 3D visualisation, he has had work and photographs featured in numerous architectural publications.

Alejandro Costa Sepulveda

Alejandro joined us as an Architect after graduating from University Europea de Madrid with a Masters Degree in Architecture and City Sustainability in 2014 from Escuela Técnica Superior de Sevilla. He is currently involved in a wide range of projects.

Alejandro has a keen interest in the research of how Architecture can adapt itself to improve the habitability in the contemporary way of life, allowing the new social practises to participate in the process of design.

Sophie Dean

Sophie joined db Architects in 2016 having spent the last 5 years working at Berman Guedes Stretton Architects on a number of both listed and new build projects in the higher education and leisure sectors.

Sophie has a strong interest in Conservation and Interior Design. Her philosophy towards architecture revolves around the existing and continuity of context. She believes the design of a building should work with the users, as well as the sustainability issues and strengths of the area, to create a design that integrates into its surroundings.

Ignacio Rovira

Ignacio joined the team as an Architectural Assistant in April 2016. After graduating from University of Seville, he studied a Master Degree in Architecture and City Sustainability in 2014 from Higher Technician School of Architecture, Seville. He is currently involved in a variety of projects while working towards his RIBA Part III qualification.

Having a particular interest in the research of strategic design as well as the role of social creativity in contemporary society, Ignacio has been working at University of Seville, where he was able to research how people can improve their own urban environment.

Steve Hill

Steve joined db architects in 2016 after graduating with distinction from his Master in Architecture at Lincoln University. His final design project saw him nominated for the 3DReid Student Award 2016.

Steve’s keen interest in carpentry and joinery led him into architecture, having attained his National Diploma in Construction, during which time he gained a wealth of practical experience within the industry and achieved the Grimsby Institute Construction Award of Technical Excellence 2009.

Previously, Steve has worked at Michael Jones Architects in Richmond on high-end residential projects and prior to that at Dieter Nelson Planning Consultancy.

With experience in detailing high-end residential schemes he is currently involved in a variety of projects whilst working towards his RIBA Part III qualification.

Other interests that keep Steve busy are playing Hockey at county level and renovating his own home.
